LOFT vacuum evaporators in comparison to pick-up of industrial wastewaters by disposal contractors
A frequently used solution for disposal of industrial wastewaters is pick-up by a disposal contractor. They come at predetermined intervals with tank trucks to your facility and take away industrial wastewaters, emulsions, process water, wash waters, etc. Along with disposal costs, other costs are incurred as well including those of ordering, the employee responsible for pick-up etc. In addition, suitable receiving vessels are required for storage until pick-up. When LOFT evaporators are used, up to 85 % of these costs can be saved.
What does a disposal service consist of?
Companies handling their wastewater disposal through a disposal contractor collect their wash waters, emulsions, coolant/lubricant emulsions, tank cleaning residues, oil-polluted wastewaters, oil-water mixtures etc. in storage tanks on their premises and keep them there until they are picked up. These various wastewaters often end up being mixed in the process. Processing of the wastewater is done by the disposal contractor. They often employ vacuum evaporators to concentrate the wastewaters. The resultant concentrates can then be disposed of cheaply by the disposal contractor. The many valuable substances often found in wastewaters are often recovered by the disposal contractors, providing them a source of additional income. The costs savings for the customer provided by the low personnel costs are more than offset by the costs of even small amounts of wastewater. The disposal costs quickly reach a critical point at which this process becomes too expensive.
And – by the way:
If investment in an evaporator unit and its operation are not possible for you, you may want to consider a very interesting alternative: pay-on-production. With this option, the wastewater processing system is installed on your premises, but its investment and operation are done by a third-party operator. The resultant distillate from the evaporation process is recycled as fresh water back into your process. You pay only a predetermined price per m³ of processed wastewater.
