Cost comparison with conventional evaporators:

The capacity of the evaporator, its energy consumption, the attainable reduction of water content of the concentrate and the volume of concentrate are all interrelated with each other. Therefore more information is required for a specific application before exact calculations can be done. Find out how these factors interrelate and what design we feel is the most advantageous on this page:

Some of the benefits provided by our systems for wastewater processing are listed below:

  • You can reduce operating costs by up to 85 %
  • You can meet strictest environmental pollution standards.
  • You get design and performance specifications valid for the specific wastewaters you process. The data given in our quotation hold true for your wastewater and application, providing you capacity planning that you can rely on. This is in contrast to many comparable vacuum evaporators offered on the market today with standard designs and quotation specifications relating to tap water (see other evaporator system providers).
  • Due to the rapid flow speed and the large surface area of the tubes in the heat exchanger in the evaporator, deposit build-up and scaling are held to a minimum (self-cleaning design). The result is reduced maintenance as compared to conventional evaporators.
  • Optimum separation of wastewater and water vapours is effected by a specially designed cyclone separator, resulting in outstanding distillate quality.
  • The high availability and minimum downtime of the system make operation easy for your staff.
  • Chemical additives and laboratory analyses are in most cases not required.
  • You get a high-performance evaporator with extremely long-term energy consumption, Depending on the system size, energy consumption ranges from 50–70 Wh/l (50–70 kWh/m³).
  • Hot wastewaters can be processed and in fact increase throughput capacity of the vacuum evaporator. Hot inlet streams reduce the heat-up time at the start of the cycle, further increasing the average capacity attained by the evaporator. In other words, as the temperature of the inlet wastewater increases, heat-up time decreases and the evaporator operates even more efficiently (lower energy consumption, higher average throughput capacity).
  • Automatic indication of maintenance due dates, e.g. for oil changes.
  • Operation via the coloured touchscreen surface of the control unit is very user-friendly and easy to learn even for first-time operators.
  • Remote maintenance and remote control of the system are available as optional features.

Our integrated control system supplied with the evaporator provides users many benefits as well:

  • Highly efficient, intelligent and user-friendly operating controls and visualization - as users of LOFT systems have come to expect.
  • Exact control of process sequences and visualized - and therefore easy-to-understand - presentation of all important process information provide an (in our opinion) indispensable basis for optimum operation of the system.
  • Our systems for wastewater treatment are equipped with the SIEMENS S7-300 PLC system as standard equipment which can also be configured to control peripheral equipment such as pumps, reverse osmosis stations, tank filling levels, etc. No self-standing control cabinet is required.
  • Control of all system components is done centrally and very conveniently via a logically arranged display screen clearly showing all process parameters.
  • We offer the SIEMENS OP 177 graphic display on our systems as standard equipment. This multi-colour real-time status display of all components and aggregates includes current performance data and important functions shown over several days’ time, for instance the evaporator throughput.
  • The current states of all peripheral units are visually (graphically) portrayed as required for your specific project including tank filling levels, pumps and valves
  • Our SIEMENS PLC control systems offer the benefits of process reliability, integration options and data exchange of any type with host systems (BUS systems). Further features of the state-of-the-art SIEMENS systems are described here: SIEMENS S7 Control System
