LOFT-Exhaust Systems

Exhaust Air Treatment Unit Air Star

Application:

In treatment of wastewaters such as emulsion / coolants and lubricants, aluminium die-casting or generally waste water that are prone to have outgassing, strong odor or the risk of bacterial contamination, evaporation processes generate exhaust air streams containing impurities and residual water vapour.

This exhaust air must either be drawn off by a suitable take-off network provided by the owner or condensed by the downstream LOFT exhaust air treatment unit.

This essentially concerns waste water processing with larger quantities from ca. 500 l/h.

Description:

The exhaust air treatment unit is an aftercondenser designed in accordance with the required capacity. Using a heat-exchanger it condenses the water vapour in the air and any other volatile substances which condense at temperatures up to 35 °C.

When discharging the distillate can, in addition to the standard version, be cooled down to a discharge temperature of ca. 35°C.

Depending on the composition of the condensate, it is either disposed of with the evaporator concentrate or - if in conformance with official limit values (e.g. BOD5, HC index, COD) - diluted with distillate and discharged into the sewer network .

Cooling of the condenser is done either by owner's cooling water or an air-cooled recooler which is included in the scope of delivery of the exhaust air treatment unit Air Star.
